The iPhone 4 is a huge hit, with over 1.7 million iPhone 4's sold in the first 3 days of its launch.
Unfortunately, many owners of the iPhone 4 have found that they don't respond well to being dropped. It can be hit or miss, but drop your iPhone on the wrong surface or at the wrong angle and you could be faced with a shattered screen.
Apple is quite generous to their customers who have dropped their iPhone - they will offer a replacement device for £120. That's about £20 more than the excess on most phone insurance policies - so bare that in mind.
Not all of us can afford to dish out £120 for what is usually a cosmetic issue. Help is at hand, as I have lovingly created this six part guide to replacing a front screen on an iPhone 4. For about £25 and two hours of your time you can do it yourself! Add on another tenner, and you could change the colour of your iPhone to pink, green, blue, purple, yellow, red or orange. Whilst they aren't official parts, I've tried out several and they all work great! If you do get one that's a dud the sellers are usually generous enough to send a replacement.
So enjoy the guide!
